The front of the padded gambeson is fastened with four buckled straps. Metal eyelets run along the edges of the arm holes and bottom helm of the sleeveless gambeson, allowing the addition of sleeves when extra protection is desired.
It looks very nice for the price, it wouldn't protect much for some heavy fighting but still it's very good quality.
I am really happy with the piece. It is well constructed and super sturdy. It will do nicely for what it was intended for.
